New Google ranking factor – Page Experience. A few weeks ago Google announced Web Vitals, a new set of metrics to measure the speed and user experience of websites. The three specific focal points for the rest of 2020 are:⠀

Visual stability.⠀
⠀
According to Google, “Great page experiences enable people to get more done and engage more deeply; in contrast, a bad page experience could stand in the way of a person being able to find the valuable information on a page.”⠀

By announcing these metrics — and by announcing them as ranking factors — Google makes page experience measurable and deems it helpful enough to judge sites by. The updates to the algorithm will officially roll out in 2021, but you can get started now. Call us, we can help.
